We will have a shorter and gentler option available this week. About 30 miles, led by Shawna and Howard Strause. This option will go out to Avra Valley Road and return, skipping the loop out to Sanders Rd.
Due to construction on Tangerine Rd. and Twin Peaks Rd., it's been a long time since we went to Marana.
Twin Peaks road is finished now, and the loop bike path has been extended into Marana, so we now have the option to do this again.
For this ride, we will head out Tangerine to Twin Peaks Rd., making a right turn to stay on it over the small hump. Then through the neighborhoods to Avra Valley Road. Take Sanders Rd north to the bikepath, and make a bathroom, water and snack stop at Gladden Park in Marana. Then continue on the bikepath to Cortaro Rd, and use Cortaro, Thornydale, Cactus Canyon, Shannon and Naranja to get back to our start.
